Ministry Order No. 39, Series of 1985 requires all those who want to engage in real estate service practice, such as a real estate broker, must be duly licensed and one requirement is to take and pass the written real estate broker's examinations.
Attendance in Accredited Seminar
Under DTI Administrative Order No. 7, Series of 2007, it is now provided that all applicants for Examination as Real Estate Brokers, Real Estate Appraisers, and Real Estate Consultants, must submit a Certificate of Attendance in a Comprehensive Real Estate Seminar (CRES) for Real Estate Brokers, Real Estate Appraisers and Real Estate Consultant undertaken by a service provider duly accredited by the DTI-BTRCP and Realty Service Council of the Philippines (RESCOP) Continuing Education Program Committee, as one of the requirements to be submitted in the filing of a Licensure Application.
Request your certified copy of transcripts/diploma early !
One of the requirements to take the examinations is to show proof that you meet the minimum educational requirements ( read article on, " How to be a Licensed Real Estate Broker" ) and to prove this, DTI requires proof such as a certified copy of your transcript of records. It is therefore highly recommended that, if you intend to take the real estate broker's examinations, it is best to request early for your certified transcript of records since it may take some time to obtain it from your respective schools were you studied.
